Jo will be with us on Sunday.

Jo is an upbeat and lively yoga teacher, with a firm belief that yoga is accessible for everyone, it’s just a case of finding the ‘right’ yoga for you. 

She began practicing yoga after a serious horse riding accident in 2005, that rendered her temporarily in a wheelchair. She turned to yoga to aid her recovery. This introduction to yoga underpins her playful and patient approach to teaching. She couples a detailed understanding of alignment with the importance of individuality and self-exploration. Jo encourages her students to be the architects of their own practice, she loves nothing better than seeing her students edit their poses to do what they ‘desire’ rather than what they’re ‘told’! Her classes are empowering, intuitive and fun, they will leave you feeling stronger and more balanced, both physically and mentally.

Jo has been influenced by and trained with many great teachers. She has explored a wide variety of yoga styles but predominantly her teaching will bare the hallmarks of Ashtanga, Hatha and Yin. Jo also very much brings her own style developed from her personal experiences and studies into the science behind yoga. 

Off the mat, Jo gets stuck into family life with her husband and two young girls. Her days often include lots of dancing around the house and getting muddy in the garden!

Jo is going to be working hard on Sunday! She will be teaching a variety of classes; Rise And Shine – hatha flow, Get With The Beat – Power Yoga, Journey To The Core – Alignment Focussed and Happy Hips – Yin Yoga.  There will be a Yogis Yoga class to suit you.
